The NW section of the American Physical Society and the OSU Department of Physics are proud to sponsor the following public lecture, free admission for all, by Dr. Mario Livio from the Space Telescope Science Institute (STScI). Dr. Livio will review the most important scientific achievements of the Hubble Space Telescope. He will cover topics ranging from Dark Energy to Extrasolar Planets, and from the age of the universe to Supermassive Black Holes. He will also present results of some of the most recent observations following the last shuttle servicing mission to Hubble, and will briefly discuss open questions in astrophysics for the next decade.
