Tutorials in Introductory Physics is a research-based and research-validated curriculum aimed at supplementing lecture instruction in introductory physics. It is widely used for both algebra- and calculus-based physics nationwide, and has also been adapted for other student populations, including high school students. Recently, curricular materials for upper-division courses in both electromagnetism and quantum mechanics have been developed using the same instructional model. We discuss the design and assessment of the quantum tutorials, along with their implementation in upper-division courses with enrollments that are both large (70-150 students) and small (15-25 students).
