Patrick Reardon, Director, OSU NMR Facililty

Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) spectroscopy is a versatile molecular scale technique used across many disciplines. Oregon State University supports exceptional NMR resources in its NMR Facility for use by faculty, staff and students. This seminar will introduce the OSU NMR Facility, its capabilities and provide a basic tutorial on NMR spectroscopy. The seminar will conclude with a discussion of the application of NMR to the study of proteins in living cells.

Patrick N. Reardon, Ph.D., is the director of OSU's NMR Facility. He will discuss NMR and the capabilities of OSU's facilities, including prospects for adding solid state NMR.
