David Brin, the well-known science fiction author (author of "The Postman"), and non-fiction writer ("The Transparent Society") will take part in a panel discussion that will explore issues related to the role of present and future technologies in society. The event is free and open to the public.

Panelists include Ethan Minot from Physics, Randy Milstein from Physics and NASA Space Grant, Bill Smart and and Cindy Grimm from Robotics, and Ellen Momsen from Women in Engineering.
