Biography

B.S. in Engineering Physics from Washington University in St. Louis, M.Ph. in Astronomy and Ph.D. in Physics from Rutgers University. Graduate certificate in Mathematics from Converse College in Spartanburg.

Postdocs in theoretical nuclear physics at the University of Paris (Orsay) and the Hahn-Meitner Institut (Berlin). Research Scientist at Milliken & Company, specializing in thermal and electrical conductivity in textiles. Associate Professor of Physics at Queens University of Charlotte. Director of Introductory Labs and Senior Instructor of Physics at OSU

Current professional interests include improving science education and literacy and applications of physics to issues in the community.

Member of the American Association of Physics Teachers. 14 peer-reviewed research articles and 28 US patents.

Enjoys traveling and strongly encourages students to take advantage of opportunities abroad.
