For years, Dr. Vignal has contributed to and led efforts to promote equity and inclusion in STEM. In this talk, he discusses how such efforts have informed past and present research that has primarily focused on physics content knowledge and pedagogy, and he will discuss opportunities for future research to continue narrowing the divide between equity- and content-oriented physics education research.
