Abstract: 

The 2021 Nobel Prize in Physics was awarded “for groundbreaking contributions to our understanding of complex physical systems”. Prof. Schneider will discuss Nobel Laureate Giorgio Parisi's work on “ the discovery of the interplay of disorder and fluctuations in physical systems from atomic to planetary scales”.

Guenter Schneider is Associate Professor in Physics at Oregon State University. His interests are in computational physics, inculding bilogical and solid state systems.
