PH403 students in 2017-2018:

Welcome to PH403! The Fall schedule is now reasonably accurate. The Winter and Spring schedules are from last year and will give a flavor of what will come; I will update them later.

FIRST CLASS ASSIGNMENT !! Because our first class is at the end of the first week, you have a written assignment due at our first meeting! It's short, but very important. Please go to the Canvas site, and look for the "First Day Basics" assignment. Do it right now, because it involves a meeting with your research mentor and writing a few goals for your project. Please also browse all the links on this page.

If you do not have a project yet, please email me now to make an appointment before Friday 9/22.

I look forward to our writing adventure beginning now and continuing all through the year. Many students have commented that they view the writing experience as one of the most important aspects of the major (and many of them were not particularly enthusiastic about it while they were doing it!) I really enjoy this class and I think it's important, so I hope to communicate all of that enthusiasm to you.

Regards,
Janet Tate.
