The Physics Department of Oregon State University together with the University Honors College present a class each spring entitled "Life, the Universe and Everything." Fans of Douglas Adams will recognize this as the great question that stumped Deep Thought, the largest computer in the universe. The question, as it turned out, was not well posed for digital processing, and so a much larger and more sophisticated computer was constructed. This new computer is our earth, and we are the read-out device. With this in mind, twelve select students from the Honors College meet to discuss those borderland regions where modern science, philosophy, and theology merge. This website will feature papers written by these students, reading material for the course, as well as useful links to other sites.
