What is Slatec?
Slatec is a big and general numerical math library of Fortran functions.
Slatec provides good general coverage of numerical math; thus, whatever area of math
your numerical problem will involve, there is likely to be a Slatec function
that will be of use. Though written in Fortran, Slatec is also quite usable from C.
Slatec functions are written or compiled from existing available math
routines by SLATEC
(Sandia, Los Alamos, Air Force Weapons Laboratory Technical Exchange Committee).
