This fall I am teaching Physics 211 , the introductory calculus-based physics course. Documents for this course will be regularly posted on blackboard, and in addition, general information is posted on the course webpage, linked above and on the right.
My primary role at Oregon State University is the investigation and incorporation of methods to improve education for the large enrollment service courses in the Physics Department.
My research area is Physics Education Research and our group webpage is: OSUPER. My research group primarily investigates introductory course reform. My other main research interest is in writing to learn, and I collaborate on related projects with the physics education researchers at the University of Cape Town.
Information about my current projects and publications can be found on the OSUPER page. Information about my past projects can be found on my graduate webpage.
